Some readers have expressed anger at
Loaded |
Kate McCann has been included in a Lads' Mag's list of most sexy
female pin ups.
Loaded is now at the centre of a bad taste storm for including
missing Maddie's mother.
The February issue includes Mrs McCann alongside female music
stars Mel C, Cerys Matthews and TV presenter, Lorraine Kelly.
She is pictured with one of Madeleine's cuddly toys and the
caption beneath reads: "Sensitive one, this, but there's nothing
more erotic to some than a pained woman in need of good lovin'."
Loaded's editor Martin Daubney said: 'She is included because it
is just something that blokes have been talking about in pubs
since the whole thing kicked off.
'Kate is a really attractive woman.'
He said that is was 'quite separate' from the issue of
Madeleine's disappearance but added: 'What appeals to men
sometimes is the instinct to take care of a woman.'
He said that the image Loaded used showed Kate in Portugal in a
vest which was he described as a 'standard' picture that would
be used by any newspaper.
But spokesman for the McCann's, Clarence Mitchell, said: 'This
is offensive.
'It is a travesty that some people should seek to make light of
Kate's ordeal at such a sensitive time.' |
