MISSING Madeleine McCann’s parents were “very relieved” yesterday after finally getting access to Portuguese police files.

 

Kate and Gerry hope missed clues in the 20,000 pages might help find the five-year-old.

 

Two lawyers for the couple started the month-long task of sifting through the files at a police HQ in Portimao.

 

A McCanns spokesman said: “It will enable them to find out what police did, or more importantly,
 

what they didn’t do.”

 

Maddie disappeared 15 months ago.
