LISBON, Portugal
(AP) - The parents of a missing British girl are widening their search across Europe.
Madeleine McCann vanished almost three weeks ago, during a family vacation in Portugal. Her
parents say they're satisfied that local police are doing all they can to find
the 4-year-old.
But they're starting a media and Internet campaign aimed at publicizing the
child's disappearance across Europe. Gerry
McCann says he and his wife want to make sure the "net is spread far and
wide." They remain hopeful that Madeleine will be returned safely.
The McCanns say they plan to remain in the south Portugal resort where Madeleine
disappeared. She vanished after her parents left her and her younger siblings
in their room while they went to a tapas bar within the hotel complex. |
