British authorities have not given up on their search for Madeleine
McCann and according to one report, the
									investigation into her disappearance and
whereabouts is costing the Home Office
									almost $10,000 a day.

The Daily Star reports about $8,900 a month goes toward detectives'
									salaries, transportation, supplies and
									additional staff involved in Madeleine's
									case.

The publication claims the new search for Madeleine, which launched
in May 2011, has likely cost over $3 million
									up to now.

Madeleine -- who was about to turn four -- vanished on May 3, 2007
while on vacation with her family in Praia
da Luz, Portugal. Her parents, Kate and
Gerry McCann, had been dining with friends
and left the girl and her twin siblings in
the villa where the family was staying. When
the McCanns returned, Madeleine was gone.

Despite the five years that have passed since Madeleine vanished,
her parents have not stopped believing she
is alive, according to the Star.
