Missing Madeleine

AN investigator hired by Madeleine McCann’s parents vowed last night: “I’ll find her in five months.”

Francisco Marco said Maddie, four, is alive in MOROCCO and revealed he has already bought dolls to give her when she is rescued.

Marco, 35, declared: “I will take them out of the suitcase the day I find Madeleine.”

The detective’s Spanish-based agency was given the job in September. He added: “We have a six-month agreement with the McCanns. I will find her before that period is up.”

Asked how he envisaged the case ending, he said confidently: “I give Madeleine her dolls. I calm her down, I take her out of wherever she is, I call her parents and put her on the telephone to them.”

Mr Marco, head of Barcelona’s Metodo 3 agency, is “certain” parents Kate and Gerry, both doctors aged 39, had NOTHING to do with Maddie’s disappearance on May 3.

Determined ... 'tec Marco

The couple, from Rothley, Leics, agreed to be grilled by his experts before the agency — which is charging a nominal fee plus expenses — took on the case.

Mr Marco, head of a 40-strong team, said: “Our staff inter-viewed the McCanns for ten hours — enough time for us to tell if they were trying to fool us.

“My specialists assure me they are not hiding anything. I would not risk the prestige this agency has gained over 23 years without being convinced there is a case.”

He went on: “For me this is a special case. I have two children. They plead with me, ‘Daddy, find Madeleine’.

“My wife does not reproach me for all the time I spend on the case.”

Mr Marco is convinced that Maddie — who vanished from her family’s rented holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal — was smuggled to Morocco.

He bought the dolls at an airport while jetting out to a reported sighting there.

Mr Marco said: “Unfortunately the lead turned out to be false. But I still have those dolls.”
