At least seven Scotland Yard officers will return to Portugal in order to continue the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, given that for the British authorities the case is in a determining phase, according to the Mirror.

After several weeks of intense negotiations with the Portuguese authorities it was agreed that a British police team would return to the site of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance, seven years ago, in Praia da Luz, during the next month, states the Mirror. 

According to the authorities, this will be the most determining moment in the case and, therefore, seven British officers will meet with Portuguese investigators.

All indications show that they are authorized to question the seven suspects selected since the beginning of the year, three of them will be questioned for a second time.

Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann will not return to Portugal, but will be following any development.
