Very insightful comment about Mr McCann. I couldnt' agree more. Let's hope he slips away from the spotlight and focuses on finding out what happened to his poor daughter.

It's about time you journalist stopped pulling the McCanns to pieces. Gerry McCann was asked by the House of Commons Culture Select Committee to give his views on the behaviour of the press after Madeleine was abducted. My question to you is - what would you have done in his situation, I'm sure you would have used every possible avenue to try to get your child back. I think it's about time you journalists showed some empathy towards the McCanns. Their daughter is still missing, they don't know where she is or who took her, they may never know. How on earth could a parent deal with that prospect? I, for one, will support them until Madeleine is found.
Your comments on Gerry McCann are spot on. Finally someone has the courage to tell it like it is. He and his wife are the ones who invited the press in the first place, hired a spokesman and courted the media like movie stars.
