It's time pressure was put on the Portuguese Police
to re-open this case, for this crime happened there and it is their
responsibility. Unfortunately they made such a hash ot the incident they
don't want to be humiliated in front of the rest of the world. They have
no concern for this missing little girl!!! And we in the rest of the
world are letting them get away with it. Something must be done and NOW.

Like all the other leads this turned out to be a

It is astounding that the McCanns have never asked
the British Police to re-open the case, as is their right to do so - you
would have thought that they would be banging on the doors of
Leicestershire Police station demanding that they continue with their
investigations. Instead, the McCanns opted to conduct their own
'investigation' , emplolying the services of companies such as Metardo 3
(who have no experience in searching for missing children) and, more
recently a couple of private investigtors who seem to think it
acceptable to harass innocent people without a shred of evidence to
connect them to this case. How refreshing to read an article that raises

The Madeleine case continues to haunt me and I
don't know how her parents can go on. It seems like no one is closer to
the truth than at the beginning of the whole sad story. Why wouldn't the
private investigators speak with people potentially significant to the
investigation? I have no idea, but I suspect the British tourist made a
mistake about what he heard on that night or misinterpreted the woman's
meaning of the word 'daughter' when she asked him the question. Others
have pointed out that 'daughter' is a street name/code name for drugs.
This case has haunted me and I still wish for Madeleine to be found and
for her to be reunited with her family. And if that deserves red-arrows,
go right ahead. I'm sure I'll need years of therapy to get over it.
